Jason “Jungle” Diaz is a two stripe Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Instructor here at CMA.
Beginning his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey in 2004, Jungle trained across Las Vegas, Europe, and Brazil, gaining a wealth of experience from top practitioners around the world. His dedication to the art led him to serve as a referee from 2011 to 2019, officiating for multiple organizations, and enhancing his understanding of the sport from different perspectives. After spending six years as a brown belt, Jungle was honored to receive his Black Belt in 2019 under Fabiano Teles, within the prestigious lineage of Pitbull BJJ.
As his pursuit of mastery continued, in 2022, Jungle earned the first-degree stripe from Diogo Moreno Araujo of 55 Jiu Jitsu. In March of 2025, he was awarded his second-degree stripe from Diogo Moreno Araujo of 55 Jiu Jitsu. With over two decades of experience, Jungle shares his passion to help others progress and grow through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He encourages both physical and mental development with a “rice and beans” style, focusing more on pressure and positional dominance over submissions.
He coaches both the Adult and the Kid's BJJ programs, as well as co-teaching the MMA Fundamentals classes!
